🌸 Otaku World Community & User Guidelines

Last updated: September 24, 2025

Welcome to Otaku World! Our community is built around creativity, collaboration, and respect. These Guidelines explain how we expect users to behave on the platform, including in art generation, forums, messages, and other interactions. By using Otaku World, you agree to follow these rules in addition to our Terms of Service. Our Community & User Guidelines apply to everyone, all around the world, and to all types of content, including AI-generated content.

Our Goals

Otaku World is a space for creativity, self-expression, and connection. We want users to express themselves freely through anime, manga, and AI tools, while keeping the community safe and respectful. To do this, we ask everyone to follow four simple principles: be authentic in what you share, help keep the space safe from harm or exploitation, respect the privacy of others, and treat everyone with respect. These values guide our rules and help make Otaku World a welcoming place for all.

Minimum Age and Youth Safety

Otaku World is committed to providing a safe and positive experience for all users, including young people. To use Otaku World, you must be at least 13 years old. Additional age restrictions may apply depending on the laws of your country or region.

If we learn that a user is under the minimum age required to create an account, we will remove or ban that account. If you believe your account was incorrectly removed, you may appeal the decision. Anyone may report an account that appears to belong to someone under the minimum age by contacting us directly.

We do not allow content or activity that could place young people at risk of psychological, physical, or developmental harm. Any account involved in the exploitation, grooming, or abuse of a minor will be permanently banned, and such activity will be reported to relevant authorities.

To support youth safety, Otaku World may:

  • Apply additional age requirements to certain features (such as messaging or content-sharing tools).
  • Use stricter privacy and visibility settings for younger users.
  • Restrict access to content that is not suitable for people under 18.

1. Sexual Content and Adult Material

Otaku World allows creative freedom, but there are limits:

  • Not allowed: pornography, explicit sex acts (drawn, generated, or otherwise), fetish/kink content (incest, bestiality, BDSM, non-consensual acts), or sexual services.
  • Allowed with limits: artistic or stylized “mature” themes (like cleavage or flirtatious characters) if properly flagged and not pornographic.

If your post includes mature material, please label it so others can filter what they see.

2. Violence, Gore, and Self-Harm

We want Otaku World to be inspiring, not disturbing:

  • Don't post extreme gore, torture, or content glorifying violence or terrorism.
  • Threats of violence, doxing, and swatting are forbidden.
  • Content encouraging suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders is not allowed.

It's fine to talk about mental health or share supportive stories—as long as it doesn't promote harmful behavior.

3. Harassment, Bullying, and Hate

Everyone deserves to feel safe here. That means:

  • No harassment, bullying, or targeted abuse.
  • No hate speech based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected traits.
  • No impersonating other people or Otaku World staff in misleading ways.
  • Coordinated harassment, revenge porn, or stalking will result in immediate action.

Debate and criticism are welcome, but degrading or dehumanizing behavior isn't.

4. Intellectual Property and AI Creations

Respect creators, inside and outside Otaku World.

  • Don't post content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or other IP rights.
  • AI-generated or edited content that realistically depicts real people must be labeled.
  • Using someone's likeness without their consent isn't allowed.
  • If you repeatedly infringe copyrights, your account may be suspended.

5. Fraud, Scams, and Deception

Keep things real. Don't:

  • Post scammy or deceptive links.
  • Run spam accounts, fake giveaways, or engagement schemes.
  • Buy or sell followers, likes, or other inauthentic metrics.
  • Promote counterfeit goods or financial scams.

6. Illegal or Dangerous Content

Stay within the law. You may not:

  • Buy, sell, or promote illegal drugs, weapons, or explosives.
  • Use Otaku World for human trafficking, sexual services, or prostitution.
  • Share instructions for committing crimes, hacking, or making weapons.
  • Spread false or misleading information about voting, elections, or civic processes.

7. Animal Welfare

We love animals—please treat them with care.

  • No content that depicts or promotes animal cruelty, neglect, or staged abuse.
  • Exceptions may be made for educational, documentary, or cultural content, but never if it's gratuitous or celebratory.

8. Community Integrity

Help keep Otaku World authentic:

  • Don't use bots, automation, or mass registrations.
  • Choose usernames that aren't misleading or infringing on trademarks.
  • Don't spam tags or mislabel your posts just to get views.
  • Avoid schemes like “follow trains” or fake engagement tricks.

9. Enforcement and Reporting

When rules are broken, we may:

  • Remove content.
  • Limit visibility.
  • Issue warnings.
  • Suspend or permanently ban accounts.

Serious violations—like child exploitation, terrorism, or credible violent threats—lead to immediate bans and may be reported to law enforcement.

You can report violations in-app or by emailing hello@otaku.world.Repeated false reporting may result in penalties.

10. Responsibility

Remember:

  • You are responsible for the content you create and share.
  • Disputes between users are generally your responsibility, though we may step in if needed.
  • If your content is removed, Otaku World isn't liable for any loss of data, revenue, or reputation.
